As "Selvas" de autoria de Machado, são pequenas instalações, onde o autor cria cenários surrealistas tendo por base, tal como o seu nome indica, a selva e a sua fauna.
Nestas instalações, podemos encontrar animais selvagens a conviver com objectos que simbolizam a presença humana, fazendo-nos reflectir sobre a condição daqueles que, involuntariamente, são submetidos à presença do Homem, resistindo à sua agressividade e sobrevivendo-lhe - quase sempre! - por puro milagre.
Contudo esta é a nossa interpretação. O autor terá outra, certamente.
